From January to June 2026, 11,092 homes sold in Calgary, 10.52% fewer than in the same months of 2025 (12,396) [1].
What these numbers mean. The benchmark price is CREB®’s price for a “typical” home and is the best number for tracking price trends, because the median and average move with the mix of homes that happen to sell in a month. Months of supply is how long today’s inventory would last at the current pace of sales. A lower number usually means a tighter market for buyers.
What CREB® reported
CREB®’s headline for June 2026: “High-density supply impacts apartment condominium prices” (news release, July 2, 2026) [2].
CREB® reported that June sales improved from May but were nearly four per cent lower than a year earlier, largely because of fewer apartment sales. CREB® said the bigger change was rising inventory across the rental, resale and new-home markets, which was weighing on apartment condominium prices. [2]
